Tom is an Audit Partner with UHY LLP and is a member of the Audit and Transactional Service Groups. He is responsible for advising public and non-public client’s on their financial and operational business needs.  Tom’s client focus is on companies looking to maximize shareholder value through acquisitions, profit enhancement, restructuring, and ultimately exiting their investment.  Tom is a licensed CPA and CMA in the state of Michigan. 

Professional Experience:

§         Lead partner overseeing audits of public and non-public companies

§         A lead member in performing financial and operational due diligence for the firm’s Transactional Service Group

§         He has been the lead project manager for a significant number of transactions over the past several years

§         Extensive background in costing separates him from the typical due diligence audit background

§         Experience extending from deal negotiation to implementation of post transaction strategic plans 

§         Provides consultation, evaluation and implementation of part and/or product line costing models

§         He has developed and implemented computer costing models that enable companies to better understand their cost structure and price their products for profitability

§         His responsibilities include all stages of the costing process starting with an in depth understanding of operational and financial issues followed by a recommendations report and business model for improving the bottom line

§         Strategic cost management which includes many special consulting engagements; product and/or part profitability, business profitability modeling, and cash flow forecasting

Background:

§         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Walsh College

§         Provisional Lead Assessor Certification From EXCEL Partnership
